Eight new European Patent Attorneys at Awapatent

Eight patent attorneys at Awapatent have passed this year’s European Qualifying Examination (EQE), earning them the title European Patent Attorney.
These new European Patent Attorneys are authorized to represent Awapatent’s clients before the European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich. The title European Patent Attorney is one of the most prestigious IP authorizations available in Europe.

– European patents are becoming more and more attractive to innovative companies around the world, and an increasing number of businesses apply for patents via EPO, rather than in individual countries. Therefore it is important to Awapatent to continuously expand the number of European Patent Attorneys working with us. These eight new authorizations will strengthen Awapatent’s position as one of the leading intellectual property agencies in Europe, says Magnus Hallin, CEO at Awapatent.

In 2012, more than 258,600 patent applications were submitted to EPO, constituting a new record and an increase by 5.7% compared to the previous year.
