Irina Demina

Associate, Ph. D.

Irina Demina is Associate specialising in the field of Biotechnology and Life Sciences. Irina successfully defended her Ph. D. in molecular plant-microbe interactions in 2013, wherein she identified marker genes for different stages of cell differentiation in the symbiotic plant organs. Prior to joining Awa in 2018, Irina was working as a postdoctoral scientist in cell and developmental biology at the John Innes Centre in England. At the same time, driven by her interest in patent drafting and prosecution, Irina completed a postgraduate programme in IP law at Brunel University London.
