Dan Henriksson is a Partner and a certified European Patent Attorney. He completed his M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (Biotechnology) at the Faculty of Engineering (LTH) at Lund University 1986. Dan handles all kinds of patent-related issues, including drafting and prosecution of patent applications, preparing oppositions and conducting oral proceedings at the EPO and the Swedish Patent Office. Dan has also participated in patent litigation in Swedish courts as a technical expert. Dan deals with biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, carbohydrates, food, dairy technology, seed growing and medical devices. Employed since 1984.

Additional information

During 1997-2006 Dan led the work of AWA´s specialist team for Life Science-based inventions. This work included continuous watching, collecting and building up an internal information bank in view of developments in patent law and practice in the Life Science area in different countries, in such areas as sequence listings, deposition of biological material, plant breeder´s rights, SPC, medical indication claims, product-by-process claims, experimental use issues, and patents on research tools. Today he is still a member of the team.
