AWA appoints Sidsel Hauge as Group CEO
AWA today announced the appointment of Sidsel Hauge as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, following a thorough search process.
Sidsel is currently the CEO of AWA Denmark, Group Vice President and a practising European Patent Attorney. She will begin as AWA Group CEO on 1 June 2023.
Sidsel is a dedicated business leader with an excellent track record throughout her career at AWA, leading Denmark into a client-focused, growth-driven and sustainable business.
Throughout this time, Sidsel has advised clients engaged in the chemical and chemical engineering fields with patent procurement including drafting and prosecution and will continue to do so in her new role.
She is an active participator in the intellectual property community as a member of the Disciplinary Committee under the Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys (ADIPA) and Co-Chair of the Women in IP International Committee under the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).

Biography
Sidsel Hauge has been with AWA for over 14 years and most recently the CEO of AWA Denmark and Group Vice President since December 2016. She is a European Patent Attorney and advises clients engaged in the chemical and chemical engineering fields.
In addition to strategically assisting clients with patent procurement including drafting and prosecution, Sidsel regularly provides litigation support in complex infringement cases before the courts in Denmark and internationally.
She obtained the CEIPI Diploma in European Patent Litigation in 2010. Sidsel is a member of the Disciplinary Committee under the Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys (ADIPA) and Co-chair of the Women in IP international Committee under the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).
She continues to be ranked as a leading and highly recommended IP attorney by major industry publications and legal directories including Managing IP, The Legal 500, IAM Patent 1000, IAM Strategy 300, World IP Review and Leaders League.
Sidsel is an active participator in the intellectual property and business communities, regularly attending and speaking at industry events.
