Unlocking Growth with the EUIPO SME Fund
By Theodorou, Alexandre | Posted on October 20, 2025
The SME Fund 2025, an initiative by the European Commission and the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), is designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the EU.
From October 20, the following vouchers will reopen for applications:
- Voucher 1 – IP Scan (IP pre-diagnostic service) and IP Scan Enforcement
- Voucher 2 – Trade Marks and Designs
- Voucher 3 – Patents
These three vouchers had been fully claimed previously, but on 16 October, EUIPO announced it was reopening applications as extra funds had become available, so SMEs should seize the opportunity to take advantage of this offer.
In today’s digital marketplace, safeguarding unique ideas and products is essential. The Fund provides direct financial assistance, allowing businesses to save up to 75% on IP applications and 90% on IP Scan services.
Successful applicants receive vouchers for reimbursement, directly credited to the SME’s bank account, ensuring a straightforward process.
Why take advantage?
- Financial Support: The vouchers reduce the cost of securing and managing your IP assets.
- Expert Guidance: SMEs can access support and advice from experts at every step of the process.
- Enhanced Competitiveness: Protecting IP enables SMEs to stand out, attract investment, and grow sustainably.
