WEBINAR: Commercial IP strategy – Internal and External Drivers

november 28, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 3:45 pm

Setting Up, Executing and Succeeding with Commercial IP Strategy

The IP strategy space is broad. In this webinar, there will be a focus on commercial IP strategy. A function of a commercial IP strategy is to connect IP operations to ongoing business activities.

Many of us know that a commercial IP strategy is an excellent tool to guide the development of an IP portfolio to ensure commercial relevance. Still, there is also a perfect opportunity to communicate the commercial role of IP inside the company.

We also see that some companies have IP strategies, but they are not put into operation for various reasons. This webinar will discuss the following three internal processes necessary for commercial contribution from IP.:

  1. IP Strategy development process.
  2. IP portfolio development process, driven by the IP strategy.
  3. IP value creation, with tangible activities leading to commercial value.

We hope that the takeaways from the webinar will be a broader and deeper understanding of how to connect IP operations to relevant ongoing business activities and know more about relevant internal stakeholders in the company.

The success of the three processes is heavily based on the company’s internal IP infrastructure, which will be discussed at our following webinar IP Organisation and IP Infrastructure, on December 13. Please click here for more details and to register.

Henrik Olsson and Martin Jansson, IP strategists with significant experience from IP managerial positions in multinational companies, will give the webinar. They work at AWA Strategy, a function dedicated to IP and IA commercial aspects in the AWA IP Group.
