Love is a certified European Patent Attorney specialising in physics, mechanics, electronics, and information technology. He completed his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in 2001 and earned his PhD in Physics from Uppsala University in 2008. He passed the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) in 2014 and holds a diploma in European patent litigation from CEIPI.
Love’s practice focuses on drafting and prosecuting patent applications worldwide across a broad range of technologies, with a particular emphasis on mechanics, physics, electronics, and IT. He has extensive experience managing patent opposition matters and infringement investigations, conducting novelty searches, patentability assessments, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses.
In addition to his client work, Love regularly lectures on intellectual property (IP) topics and has previously led AWA’s specialist team in Materials Technology and Nanotechnology. Love frequently meets with researchers and companies to analyse and discuss their IP activities and conducts contemporary IP studies, including authoring articles and blog posts.
