Rasmus Halby

Junior Associate, Patents

M.Sc.Engineering

Rasmus Halby holds a master’s degree in Indoor Environmental and Energy Engineering from Aalborg University (AAU). His professional background spans several key areas of civil engineering within the building sector, including energy renovations, urban development, structural construction, and the optimisation of indoor environments.

During his studies, Rasmus focused on airflow development from pronunciation and exhalation, with particular emphasis on computational fluid dynamics and fluid mechanics. He has also applied these principles to optimise air distribution from diffusers in both residential and commercial buildings. These implementations contribute to sustainability certifications by supporting strong building performance in relation to indoor environmental quality (IEQ) and energy consumption.

For his master’s thesis, Rasmus developed the IEQ-Compass, a tool designed to assess the IEQ potential of single-family houses. The project involved translating complex simulation and calculation methods into a simplified, user-friendly interface, ensuring high applicability without compromising technical accuracy.
