Ellen Jonsson

Ellen Jonsson is a Junior Associate in AWA’s Chemistry and Life Science team. She holds an MSc in Engineering, Biotechnology from Lund University, with a technical background in protein engineering, computational biology, and drug delivery.

Ellen has a broad interest in chemistry and life sciences, particularly protein engineering, drug delivery, bioanalysis, and computational approaches to biological systems. She is particularly interested in the intersection of innovation and machine-learning, following her experience at Axis Communications, where she prepared data used to train AI models for object detection.

For her master’s thesis at the Centre for Molecular Protein Sciences at Lund University, Ellen worked on the de novo design of icosahedral protein capsids for drug delivery. Her work combined computational protein design in Python with various machine-learning methods for molecular docking and interface redesign.
