Ingrid Sjöberg is a Senior Associate and European and Swedish Patent Attorney, with a strong technical background in applied physics and electrical engineering. She holds a Master of Science in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Linköping University (2018), with an international profile. During her studies, she spent a year at Université Montpellier 2 in France and completed her Master’s thesis at Schneider Electric in Bavaria, Germany.

She passed the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) in 2023 and the Swedish qualifying examination in 2024. Her practice covers a broad range of patent-related matters, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, invention harvesting, and advising on IP strategy. She also performs novelty searches, patentability assessments and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, and regularly delivers lectures and training sessions on intellectual property for inventors, start-ups and the AWA trainees.


Ingrid works with clients ranging from early-stage start-ups to major Swedish and international corporations. Her clients operate across a wide range of technical fields, including electronics manufacturing, optics, lighting technologies, nanotechnology, energy storage and distribution, surveying systems, medical technologies, and telecommunication. She has extensive experience handling complex inventions and coordinating international patent portfolios.


She has a strong interest in languages and international relations, reflected in her international education and client work. Ingrid is an active member of FICPI and has served as a board member and treasurer of the Swedish section since 2022.
