Niklas Sköld

Niklas Sköld is a European Patent Attorney with a background in research in the fields of semiconductor physics, nanotechnology, and quantum optics. Niklas completed his Ph.D. in Physics at Lund University in 2008. Prior to joining AWA in 2017, Niklas was working as an assistant professor at Lund University and as a researcher at Toshiba Research (Cambridge, UK). In particular, he has worked on developing artificial atoms as light sources for quantum cryptography. Niklas is particularly experienced in semiconductor devices, lasers, optical fibers and fiber components, as well as optoelectronic components.
