AWA stands out in IAM Patent 1000 rankings

IAM has released the 2026 edition of the IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Professionals.

AWA’s patent prosecution practice was recognised in Belgium, China, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. In Sweden, the litigation practice was also recommended.

Spanning litigation and prosecution categories and covering six jurisdictions across Europe and Asia, AWA has 26 attorneys, including four newcomers, listed as recommended individuals in the IAM Patent 1000:

BelgiumEmmanuel Flamme, Dieter Heck and Marc Lerho.

China: ForeignHongyue Li, and for the first time appearing in the rankings, Benny Liu.

Denmark – Stefan Borch Bilfeldt, Eva Carlsson, Sidsel Hauge, Lasse Henze, Kim Garsdal Nielsen, Michael Bech Sommer, Joacim Lydén, Mikkel Roed Trier and Vibeke Warberg Rohde with Matthew Baines highlighted in the Next Generation category for the first time this year.

Norway – Carsten Lous with Fredrik Martinsen and David Molenaar appearing in the rankings for the first time this year.

Sweden – Joanna Applequist, Mikael Henriksson, Anders Isaksson, Louise Jonshammar, Niklas Mattsson, Simon Markström and Mattias Pierrou.

Switzerland Astrid De Ro.

AWA was further recognised in the international category for firms that have established a global presence and in the European Patent Office (EPO) category. Eva Carlsson, Louise Jonshammar and Niklas Mattsson were also listed as recommended individuals in the EPO category.

The IAM Patent 1000 is the definitive resource for identifying world-class individual and firm-wide private practice patent expertise.
