Charlotta Vink is a European Patent Attorney and leads the Materials, Mechanics and Manufacturing business area in Sweden as Business Area Manager.

She specialises in patent matters across mechanical engineering with specific knowledge in the areas of wood material and building technologies. Charlotta also has extensive knowledge within the field of medical devices and, in particular, the automotive sector.

Her career as a Patent Attorney started in 2001 when she joined AWA’s Trainee Programme. After graduating from the programme, Charlotta qualified as a European Patent Attorney and a Swedish Authorised Patent Attorney.

Charlotta advises clients on strategic patenting issues, including pre-patenting investigations, oppositions, licensing, infringement, validity and freedom-to-operate issues.

The combination of her practical experience and strong business acumen assists her in the daily operations and management of AWA’s Materials, Mechanics and Manufacturing business area.

Mentoring colleagues entering the intellectual property field is one of Charlotta’s passions and she regularly tutors as part of AWA’s Trainee Programme. She was also a tutor for the CEIPI Strasbourg legal course as part of the European qualifying examination (EQE) for several years.
